The Gripchomp is a tool for cutting griptape back from the edge of the board, giving it the look of decks with die-cut griptape. Use the included nail to score the grip. This is not a tool for cutting griptape in the traditional sense. Don't buy this if you think you need it to cut your griptape. All you need to cut grip is any tool to file a line around the shape of the deck, and then something sharp to cut along that line. This tool is specifically for the aesthetic of having more of the top stained ply juxtaposed with the grip.
